DESCRIPTION:The Calgary Horticultural Society has been dedicated to helping local gardeners be successful in Calgary’s growing environment since 1908. The Society provides educational opportunities from talks\, workshops\, and courses to events. The one-day Gardeners’ Market is one of their 2026 signature events held at The Commons at ATCO Park | Blue Flame Kitchen. Last year\, the Gardeners’ Market attracted 1\,200 attendees. \n\n\n\nThis event brings gardeners of all experience levels together to discover what’s happening in the local world of gardening and ignites the garden season. The exhibitors include garden centres\, garden service suppliers\, garden decor creators\, gardening product providers\, and specialty plant groups (to name a few) – it’s an event dedicated to gardening right here in Calgary! DESCRIPTION:The 11-day history festival is back for the 36th year. Plan on taking in several of the 75-plus events\, comprised of walks\, tours and presentations – something for everyone. \nThe theme this year\, Chinook Country: Influences and Icons\, will explore the places\, events and personalities that have been important in the growth and successes in our society. In addition to events in Calgary\, you can learn of the interesting past of places such as High River\, Okotoks\, Chestermere\, Cochrane and more. \nAgain this year\, there will be an exhibition of modern photographs of iconic historic places. This year the exhibition will be in the Central Library. \nFoRRGS is a proud annual participant of Historic Calgary Week.
